Questions from Sara @ The Bibliophagist:
What’s a weird fact that you just happen to know?
The formula or recipe for Oreos is different all over the world. I’ve been fortunate to try quite a few from all around. Canada still has the best looking and tasting one in my mind :P. (Not biased at all…)
If you could pick one food that you’d never have to eat again, what would it be?
Canned clams or mussels or shrimp. For work (while pregnant), I had to taste canned clams and shrimps straight out of the can. I nearly threw up, so yeah I’m good with not eating those again.
What’s your favorite season of the year and why?
Fall – crisp air, beautiful colours, and comfy sweaters!
You can have dinner with five famous people, alive or dead. Who do you pick?
Anthony Bourdain, Gordon Ramsey, Nigella Lawson, Trevor Noah, and Ali Wong
(I love me some food & stand up comedians)
Imagine you have a personal assistant to do everything you hate or don’t want to deal with. What do you have them do for you?
Drive me everywhere! I hate driving places and being stuck in traffic. Followed by changing my daughters diapers, now that she’s mobile it’s like wrestling a little chimpanzee.
If you could teleport anywhere, where would you go right now?
Honestly, I’m a beach bum so anywhere coastal. I would love to go back to California or see Hawaii.
What’s the last book that you recommended to someone?
I just finished Trevor Noah’s Born a Crime & it was amazing. I told my dad (and all of bookstagram) to read it.
What’s the last book that someone recommended to you?
Oh so many through blogging & bookstagram, I think everyone is recommending the Lunar Chronicles to me lately.
Used books or new books?
New Books! Although I have a thing for family owned books that are given to me, I cherish those.
Do you listen to audiobooks?
Yes! I love audiobooks, I’m going to listen to them more when I go back to work. I’m listening to Renegades right now.
Have you ever dreamed about a book? If so, which book?
Yes! Scythe seeped its little awful dystopian-ness into my brain after I read it!
Questions from Becky @ Velvet Spade Reads:
If you could get your hands on an ARC of any book coming out (doesn’t even have to be one that is announced yet), what would it be?
There’s two: The newest The Other’s by Anne Bishop book due to come out March 2019, I will read anything in that series. Followed by the new Children of Blood and Bone – Children of Virtue and Vengeance.
If you could spend the summer anywhere, where would you go?
A cottage or beach house to be honest. Somewhere secluded and quiet and simple. I will settle for a 5 star resort in Fiji too…
You have to sacrifice any book to the bookish Gods, what book do you give them?
Is it bad if I say the Red Queen series? Every time I read it I get stomach aches, like I don’t trust anyone and its makes for a hard reading experience lol.
If you could only read one genre for the rest of your life, what would you pick?
Oh that’s tough since I’m a tres mood reader. I think Urban Fantasy cause it has a bit of everything usually – love, supernatural, mystery, thriller…
What is the least favorite job you’ve ever had?
Working in a grocery store bakery department when I was 15, but I think any job at 15 sucks.
What is the best job you’ve ever had?
Does being a mom count? LOL Otherwise, I love being a Product Developer. Nothing cooler than seeing your products on the shelves after a 1-2 years of developing them.
How do you feel about camping?
Not good feelings. My parents loved camping and therefore I’ve been on a million camping trips – but sadly they were not meant to camp. I was scarred to say the least. I love campfires and hiking, but could do without the bugs and rain.
What is your favorite summer time drink?
I love iced coffee and lemonade. Grown up drinks – I’m a fan of margaritas and mojitos, anything that reminds me of the beach.
You’re borrowing your best friends time machine for a day – where would you go?
That’s tough. I don’t know if there’s a point in history I would have loved to be at. I think it would be more personal, I would love to have one more day playing with my family pets from growing up – my dog Neo, my cats, Abraham and Luke. I have a collage of pics on my wall of them so I always think of them often.
Otherwise I’d sneak a peak at the future lotto numbers :).
If you could only use one form of social media, which would you pick?
Instagram! I’m a sucker for pictures and I love the community on their too.
Got any real summer plans?
Livin’ up the last of maternity leave, I got 2 more months – so I’m taking full advantage when I can!
