Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
For today’s Top Ten Tuesday post, the topic assigned today was Bookish Worlds I’d Want to/Never Want to Live In.
If you would like to check out my last weeks post – click here.
Bookish Worlds I’d Never Want to Live in
Hunger Games: Cause it sounds freaking terrible to live in… Death of any kinda sucks, but when you force children to kill each other for sport…not a world I would sign up for.
Scythe: This book is a bit of philosophical mind-eff. So much so I’m cool with not living in this world thank you very much. Love reading about it from afar…
Red Queen: This world is depressing, like so sad. No matter the powers, I don’t think the red or silvers got it good.
The Walking Dead: I hope no explanation is necessary for this one..
Illuminae Files: As much as I loved the books, these characters go through crazy crazy crazy stuff to survive. I’m okay being on my comfy couch not getting dusted and eaten by a space slug.
Bookish Worlds I’d Love to Live In
Harry Potter – HOGWARTS! If this isn’t on everyone’s list I’d be shocked. This world sounds freaking amazing – who wouldn’t want to live in a magical world???
The Night Court from ACOMAF: ‘Cause of Rhysland, duh! Oh and the magical powers are pretty kick ass too…
Crazy Rich Asians: Um, can I please be a rich Ah-mah chilling and drinking tea with my girlfriends at my posh country club? Please & Thanks!
Sookie Stackhouse World: I would like to live in the book version not the tv version (True Blood). I wouldn’t mind being a bad ass shifter. More-so than a vampire… because blood makes me queasy.
Dark Descendant: Who wouldn’t want to be a descendant of a God and have cool abilities??
Hope you enjoyed this weeks TTT! Let me know in the comments if you agree or disagree with any of my choices!
Happy Reading!!!
Totally agree about Hunger Games (no thank you) and Harry Potter (yes please!).

I didn’t even think about Red Queen, but I totally agree!

Right? Sounds like a terrible place! Children of Blood and Bone is similar but I think the powers are way cooler.

Being rich would be nice. I couldn’t live in any dystopian world, though. I’m too fluffy for that.
