Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
For today’s Top Ten Tuesday post, the topic assigned today was Books with Red, White, & Blue Covers (In Honor of 4th of July in the USA. Choose covers with your own country’s colours if you prefer!)

TTT: Book with Red & White Covers!
Since I’m Canadian and it was recently just Canada Day on July 1st, I chose to list books with red, white or both red and white book covers.
All of the books listed are either read or on my TBR!
Here we go, eh!
- A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR #1) Sarah J Maas
- A Darker Shade of Magic (Shades of Magic, #1) by V.E. Schwab
- Scythe (Arc of the Scythe #1) by Neal Schusterman
-
The Queen of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling #1) by Erika Johansen
- A Blade so Black by L.L. McKinney
- Ace of Shades (The Shadow Game, #1) by Amanda Foody
- Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
- Size 12 is Not Fat (Heather Wells #1) by Meg Cabot
- The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang
- An Ember in the Ashes (An Ember in the Ashes, #1) by Sabaa Tahir
Some recent ARCs I have read or am currently reading by some great Canadian Authors:
- Sanctuary by Caryn Lix
- Ruthless Magic by Megan Crewe
- When Life Gives You Demons by Jennifer Honeybourn
As always…
HAPPY READING!
I just finished The Poppy War and it’s fantastic!

Yes! It’s totally worth raving over!! I loved it and will buy it at some point for my shelf. It has a ton of triggers, though. I actually had to put down the book at one point and was afraid to pick it up again. As a warning.

For sure! I totally get it! The author of the Kiss Quotient followed me on insta and Twitter and she will always thank me when I mention her book or drop a comment here and there. So therefore we are best friends 😭😍 hahaha so I totally get what you mean!
Sabaa Tahir is particularly cool 👌

Scythe, ADSOM, ACOTAR and Ace of Shades all have such gorgeous covers. I wasn’t so keen on ACOTAR, but I really enjoyed Scythe and Ace of Shades and ADSOM is one of my favourite books.

Happy Canada Day! (is that what you’re suppose to say? Or what is the proper thing to say?). I haven’t read any of the books you’ve posted but Ace Of Shades is one of my book club books so I plan on reading it this month. It sounds so good and the cover is gorgeous.
